- Do I have to have the disinfection done in the whole house if I have spotted the bed bugs only in one room?
If the customer wishes so we can commence our work only in one room however in 50% cases while doing the inspection of the rest of the house we usually find signs of problems in other rooms as well. Since there are common areas in the house like the hallway, kitchen, or bathroom you can quite easily transfer the eggs throughout the whole house. The bed bugs alone are known to travel on their own as well using the spaces under the floorboards. That’s why only full house disinfection can give you a 100% assurance that the problem has been taken care of.
- We found bed bugs in our bed. Should we discard the mattress?
In most cases there is no need. Only in really extreme cases when the infestation is very big and the mattresses are in bad condition for example with holes, on that occasion we will recommend replacing them. Our task is to get rid of the problem without exposing customers to future expenditure.
- A month ago, we had done disinfection. There is no trace after the bed bugs. Can we wash the carpets now?
Of course, we recommend washing the carpets, however, no earlier than a few weeks after the treatment was done. Carpet cleaning will help get rid of the remnants of dead insects which is not always possible to remove by a vacuum cleaner.
- It turns out that we have Bed bugs at home. We decided to move out. Is it enough?
Definitely it’s not enough. Every sixth customer admits during our visit that the Bed bugs moved with him from the previous home. When you moving from house to house you have to be really careful, but there is still risk that you can take the Bed Bugs with you to the new property, which may become apparent immediately or after a certain time. We recommend doing the disinfection in new house as well to have 100% certainty.

- How serious does the pest infestation have to be to get professional help?
Pests reproduce extremely fast and they are even better at hiding from our sight. Seeing an individual one is almost always a sign of an infestation on the premises. When people try to handle the problem themselves, they might get the ones they see, but are usually inefficient in getting rid of the entire population, as it’s always hidden.
- Can I use pesticides myself?
Most pesticides can only be bought with a professional license.
- Are all insect pests?
Absolutely not. Many insects have a vital part in our ecosystem, we treat only the ones that pose a threat or nuisance to our customers.
What do I need to do before a bed bug treatment?
Remove all bedding and linens – sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, etc. Bag them all up in the same room so the infestation doesn’t spread to the rest of the house. Hot wash on 60-90? C. Proceed doing the same with clothing around or under the affected areas, especially items stored under the bed – must be emptied and their content must also be hot washed. Hoover meticulously all areas of the bedroom including both sides of the mattress/es. You will be provided with further instructions before and after the scheduled bed bug treatment
If the inside of my cabinets/cupboards are treated, do I need to wash them after the service?
No. You can clean your cabinets before the treatment, if so, please remove any loose shelf paper.
- Why does it take more than one treatment for bed bugs and rodents?
These pests have different life cycles than other target species. During certain stages of their life cycles, treatments work only partially, so we have to catch them between these dormant cycles in order to fully manage their population.
- Is quoting free?
Yes, we are always happy to give you a free phone quote for your current pest problem.
